| Hi, dear belgium students,
We contact your student’s group about a big project.
The goliard, what’s the goliard? It’s easy
The project is to set up an European chansonnier (sing book) named Goliard. Naturally, he(it) will
be difficult, even impossible, to collect "all" the singings(songs). We can tempt at least this bet.
To illustrate this project, I shall take the example of a student who arrives in a city with poaches
his(her,its) Goliard.
This one would supply him(her) the singings(songs), the explanations on the traditions and the coordinates of the city, the university or the brotherhood susceptible to welcome him(it). If Gaudeamus is the singing(song) which unites spiritually the students of the whole world (we wish it, at least), Goliard, more than a simple chansonnier, would want a realization of this feeling of brotherhood which animates(stimulates) us.
For this BIG European student’s tradition, we need your help. Your job is very simple collect some information about your student’s group ( songs, tradition ) and give were it ... Help for make discover your tradition to other European student’s group.
Concretely, it would be necessary the singings(songs) of your cities / faculties /
brotherhoods, as well as historic and explanatory elements of your student traditions, email and
website. To be in time(weather), would be needed these documents (text in English (format
Word), photos) before September 30th. Then, it would be necessary to pass on this e-mail in your
knowledge susceptible to participate in the project.
All of this traditions would be assemble during a big student’s meeting in Strasbourg. I enclose the invitation if you like join up.
A last help Can you give me, with your informations, some other e-mail for contact all the Belgium student if you have a mail listing send-me please.....
